First, document the theft

Before anything else, gather evidence:

  1. Screenshot the unauthorized use - Capture the page showing your image
  2. Save the URL - Copy the exact web address where your image appears
  3. Note the date - Record when you discovered it
  4. Save any context - Username, page name, or account that posted it

Is your image watermarked?

If you watermarked your image with Common Identity before it was stolen, you have strong evidence of ownership.
